About the job- We are looking for a person to join the Corporate Actions Team within the Operations Department working in BNP Paribas (Lisbon) SA
- The role of the person is to manage voluntary corporate actions, SRD2 directive and handling of general meetings instructions for participations and votes
- Cooperation and respect are important traits within the team. The person will need good communication skills, as she/he will work directly with people from other Operational Services and Departments and with the Wealth Management (WM) Business of Switzerland and other countries
Your Main Activities Are- Handle the management of voluntary corporate actions
- Analysis and understanding of the notifications received by the custodians
- Proceed with the writing and the transmission of letters produced to the attention of the underlying clients, in four languages (french, english, german, italian)
- Instruct, within the defined deadline, any instruction received from our clients
- Guarantee the correct booking of the transactions on the clients 'accounts
- Respect strictly the internal procedures and deadlines
- Handle the management of "Shareholder disclosure" (SRD2 directive) and general meetings (Proxy service)
- Analysis and understanding of the notifications of general meetings
- Proceed with the consecutive writing and the transmission of letters produced to the attention of the underlying clients, in four languages (french, english, german, italian)
- Instruct, within the defined deadline, any instruction received from our clients (in case of participation or vote)
- Transmit to the client banks, acting as nominee, all the notifications received within the context of "shareholder disclosure"
- Contribute, in deep cooperation with KYC and Middle Office teams, to instruct within the defined deadline any requirements linked to " shareholder disclosure "
- Manage any cash and securities pendings linked to the activity
- Chase constantly the custodians to obtain satisfactory and timely handling of CA events
- Keep good relationships with other departments, WM Business, custodians and Middle Offices
Profile and Skills to Success- Financial academic background
- At least 2 years of Experience in Corporate Actions
- Knowledge in Securities operations and custody
- Knowledge in Banking & Financial Services
- Experience with MT Swift messages
- Proficiency in Banking Applications
- Proficiency in Swift tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Ability to develop and adapt a process
- Analytical ability
- Ability to understand, explain and support change
