Job responsibilities Under the guidance of the Manager, Site Contracts and Budgets, the Site Payment Specialist provides specialized site payment support and assistance to the Development Operations, Legal, Finance Departments as well as other Departments, as required, which are involved in the planning, execution and management of global clinical trials.
Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job:
• Minimize regulatory, legal, and financial risks related to site payments through collaboration with our external providers (e.g., administrative payment agents, CROs), investigative sites, and other internal departments such as Legal, Finance, Compliance, and QA.
• Develop and maintain site payment optimization process with company stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver site payment optimization budget training internally and to external providers (e.g., administrative payment agents, CROs).
• Function as subject matter expert for site payments globally.
• Identify, draft and deliver new processes and policies related to subject matter expertise as needed (including but not limited to site payment optimization process).
• Serve as the liaison between Development Operations, investigative sites and external providers (e.g., administrative payment agents, CROs) to address site payment related issues for all studies.
• Develop strong relationships with Development Operations, investigator sites, and external providers (e.g., administrative payment agents, CROs) and meet business objectives related thereto.
• Maintains consistent communications with internal and external clients, including in-person discussion, telephone calls, and e-mail.
• Conduct or assist with financial payment audits related to studies as required.
• Develop and maintain site payment hold, closed study invoicing, and external provider accountability procedures and training related thereto.
• Engage and deliver special projects as needed.
Qualifications What we're looking for• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and experience
• 5 years or more of experience in negotiating Site contracts and budgets and/or facilitating/managing site payments.
• Requires strong communication, verbal, written, and interpersonal. Ability to build team relationships with line management, employees, and HR team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
• Previous site contract and budget experience is needed for this role. Ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of employees.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet frequent deadlines is essential.
• Strong customer services skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
