ROLE OVERVIEW

As SEO Lead (Italian Speaker), you'll own the organic performance of a portfolio of clients, from strategy through to execution and reporting. You'll lead a small team of SEO Managers, Specialists, and Executives, act as the senior point of contact for your clients, and play an active role in how we develop and evolve our SEO offering.

This is a role for someone who's done the technical groundwork and is ready to lead, not just manage tasks, but think commercially, communicate with confidence, and push the quality of our work forward.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Strategy & Performance:

• You'll report directly to the SEO Director.
• You'll lead the development and execution of medium-to-large scale SEO strategies across a portfolio of clients, with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes
• You'll conduct regular performance analysis, identifying what's working, what isn't, and where the real opportunities lie
• You'll build and present opportunity forecasts and growth models to support client strategy conversations
• You'll stay ahead of algorithm updates, industry shifts, and emerging areas like GEO and AI-driven search, and bring those insights into your work

Client Management

• You'll own client relationships within your portfolio, leading regular calls, presenting monthly performance reviews, and acting as a trusted strategic partner, supporting Project Leads and SEO Managers.
• You'll translate complex SEO data into clear, actionable recommendations that clients can act on and understand
• You'll proactively identify opportunities to expand scope and upsell relevant services where it genuinely adds value
• You'll support pitch and SOW development for new business opportunities as needed

Team Leadership

• You'll manage and mentor a team of SEO Managers, Specialists and Executives, supporting their development through regular feedback, training, and clear workload planning
• You'll set priorities, manage timelines, and ensure consistently high-quality delivery across your projects
• You'll collaborate across SEO, Paid Media, Content, and Strategy teams to ensure joined-up thinking and channel alignment
• You'll contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing, process improvement, and the development of new service capabilities, including AI tool integration and workflow innovation

Reporting & Insights

• You'll produce clear, data-driven reports using Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, and SE Ranking
• You'll go beyond the numbers, turn performance data into strategic narratives with concrete next steps
• You'll contribute to the evolution of our reporting formats and internal best practices

What We're Looking For
Essential:

• Native Italian speaker with fluency in English (C2)
• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with genuine depth across on-page, content, and technical SEO
• 2+ years of people management experience, you've led, coached, and developed others
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with data, building forecasts, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders
• Experience contributing to pitches, proposals, or SOW development
• Exposure to AI tools and their application in SEO workflows
• Proficient with: Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Bonus

• Hands-on experience in Off-page SEO, Link Building, or Digital PR
• Familiarity with other digital channels (PPC, Paid Social) and how they integrate with organic strategy
