Sales Trader - Carbon Compliance - Italian market

Are you looking for a commercially driven, highly motivated Sales Trader to acquire and build strong client relationships within the EU ETS market? AFS Energy is expanding it's Carbon Compliance desk. While this is a full Sales Trader position, your initial focus will be entirely dedicated to building your client portfolio from the ground up. You should be competitive, eager to grow the desk, and driven by personal and financial success.

The role

• Portfolio Building: Focus on building your client portfolio through direct cold calling, networking at international conferences, and hosting one-on-one client meetings.
• Platform & Trading Activation: Onboard new clients onto our trading platform, Viridian, generate trading volume, and execute trades in line with compliance protocols.
• Cross-Selling: Expand client relationships by cross-selling other environmental and energy products.
• CRM & Market Intelligence: Utilize CRM tools to manage outreach, track prospects, and conduct market research on EU ETS trends and competitors.

What we expect

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience: 0-3 years of experience in a sales-focused role (Sales Trader, Broker, or Business Development). Experience or strong interest in cold calling and active CRM management is essential.
• Languages: Fluent English & Italian.
• Mindset: Highly competitive, energetic, proactive, and persistent. You enjoy the challenge of sales and take ownership of your commercial results.
