Join us as a KYC Analyst

What you will be doingThe role is based within our offices in Barcelona, where you will take part in the KYC Team.
Our KYC Team is at the forefront of ensuring seamless onboarding experiences for our valued customers. Collaborating closely with FinCrime, Compliance and Operations, we ensure a comprehensive approach to risk mitigation and regulatory adherence without forgetting to ensure a great UX for our customers.

Key responsibilities:
  • Perform due diligence on new consumer customers, ensure that appropriate client documentation is captured, providing customers onboarding in a timely manner;
  • Analyse and assess customer profiles, verify identities, identify potential red flags, and escalate any particular cases to the Fincrime team;
  • Assist customers, mainly via emails, during the verification and activation process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience;
  • Conduct quality checks on a sample basis for customers approved through automated systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies;
  • Utilize databases for customer screening, including PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) databases and adverse media sources;
  • Perform detailed customer risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks associated with the client;
  • Challenge tools, processes and procedures in the context of continuous improvement.

You have:
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a startup or the financial sector. Candidates with experience in customer care or similar roles are also evaluated;
  • Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks in respect of AML/KYC, or AML/AFC qualification obtained from ACAMS or ICA, or a similar industry body, will be considered a plus;
  • Native proficiency in Italian and professional proficiency in English. Knowledge of French is considered a plus.

We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
