Key Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and moderate user-generated content on social media platforms in Italian, ensuring full compliance with community guidelines and platform policies.
• Identify and take appropriate action on content that violates standards, including hate speech, misinformation, graphic material, spam, and other harmful categories relevant to the social media industry.
• Accurately categorise and escalate complex or sensitive content cases to senior moderation teams or specialist departments when required.
• Monitor social media trends, emerging threats, and new types of policy-violating content to stay ahead of evolving challenges within the industry.
• Provide clear, well-documented decisions and feedback on reviewed content within established quality and efficiency benchmarks.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Trust & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Operations to continuously improve moderation workflows and outcomes.
• Maintain a high standard of mental resilience and professional objectivity when reviewing potentially distressing or sensitive social media content.
• Participate in regular training sessions, policy updates, and team briefings to ensure consistently accurate and up-to-date moderation practices.

Requirements

• Native or fluent Italian language skills (both spoken and written) are essential for this role - all content reviewed will be in Italian.
• Valid EU passport or documentation confirming the right to work within the European Union (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital culture, and online community behaviour.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to make consistent, sound judgement calls under pressure.
• Good command of English for internal communication, training materials, and cross-team collaboration.
• Prior experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related field within the social media or digital industry is considered a significant advantage.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a structured, on-site environment in Athens, Greece.
