Job DescriptionPurpose of the roleTo develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service.
Accountabilities- Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
- Understanding of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
- Response to customer inquiries, attend client meetings and obtain a detailed understanding of complex personal / corporate financial circumstances in order to provide options for suitable product solutions. Support with resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage. .
- Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
- Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as pitch materials and client presentations.

As a Barclays Investment Advisor, you will partner with bankers and provide your expertise for investment propositions, focusing on direct interactions with HNW, UHNW and Family Office clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work on product platforms and services and design the right solutions for the clients. This will include pitches, proposals, existing portfolio analysis, implementation and on-going investment reviews, management and client updates.
This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:• Managing and advising clients on their investment assets across all services
• Directing all investment assets under their covered relationships (including discretionary, advisory, execution only service assets)
• Providing a proactive bespoke service as agreed with clients
• Developing innovative investment strategies and analysis to deliver on intricate client needs for most complex of investment concepts
• Developing and managing a significant book of client relationships, whilst partnering with the aligned banker teams to support their businesses
• Interacting with the key stakeholders from across the business including banker teams, Investment Solutions product areas, and investment services
• Contributing to idea generation, product development and the ongoing enhancement of the investment propositions across Investment Solutions
• Delivering wide ranging investment content at banker team meetings, larger business investment briefings and external conferences/presentations where required
Essential Skills:• Established record of client acquisition, relationship strategies, developing and managing investment business with HNW, UHNW and family office clients across multiple jurisdictions
• Fluency in English and Italian is required along with experience of asset classes, investment philosophies, equities, bonds, alternatives, derivatives and foreign exchange
• Excellent Knowledge and experience of macro-economics, behavioural economics, portfolio construction and a range of solutions to execute implementation
• Experience of investment propositions, focusing on direct interactions with HNW, UHNW and Family Office clients, ideally within a private bank
Preferred skills• Educated to degree level (or professional equivalent) and QFA, EFA is desirable
• Existing experience with significant book of client relationships
• Expert knowledge in building client investment strategies
• Extensive market and investment knowledge
