Commis II ( Italian Cuisine Experienced )

Job Brief

We are looking for a skilled Commis II to prepare food and cook simple dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. You will handle specific sections of the kitchen, follow recipes closely, and help train junior kitchen staff. This role suits someone with some kitchen experience who is ready to take on more cooking responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook simple dishes following the standard recipes and chef's instructions.
• Handle a specific kitchen section (e.g. cold kitchen, grill, sauces) under supervision.
• Check ingredient quality and freshness before use and report any issues.
• Guide and support Commis III / Kitchen Helpers with basic prep tasks.
• Maintain portion control, presentation, and consistency of dishes.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards set by the company and local health authorities.
• Keep the assigned work station, tools, and equipment clean and well organized.

Requirements
• Culinary certificate or diploma is an advantage; equivalent practical training also accepted.
• At least 1 to 2 years of kitchen experience, ideally in a similar cuisine or setting.
• Basic knowledge of cooking methods, food safety, and kitchen equipment; able to work well in a team.
