Job DescriptionThe AP Accountant will be able to perform accounting activities in the areas of AR, AP and GL, including but not restricted to :
- Perform AP/AR payments and reconciliation
- Perform accounts reconciliation, post journals and uploads (eg advances, direct debits etc)
- Act as backup on finance activities performed in the SSC teams
- Act as SPOC for the designated accounting area in front of customer, team lead/manager, SSC Management and external parties
- Is accountable for operations' accuracy and quality regarding statutory and Group rules and standards
Ad hoc activities:- Participates in the creation / update of Finance Standard Operating Procedures used by the SSC operational teams.
- Participates in project work (e.g. lean & optimization topics).
- Participates to functional & cross-functional meetings (when required) and shares feedback and regular contact with functional finance team
QualificationsSkills: - Good knowledge of accounting processes
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Independent worker and team player
- Ability to deal with numerous deadlines simultaneously / Multi-tasking
- Familiarity and ease with varying IT and online software and applications.
- Knowledge of local GAAP is a plus
- Basic knowledge of major internal control procedures
- Experience with SAP S4/Hana is a plus
- Controlling/tax skills/knowledge is a plus
Languages : - Fluent in Italian
- Fluent in English
- French - nice to have
Education:- Associates or bachelor's degree in business or Accounting
Experience: - First experience in an accounting department minimum; preferred 2-3 years
- Experience in trade credit insurance industry preferred.
- Experience in an international environment preferred.
