Account Manager - Italian Market (m|w|d)

idealo has direct business relationships across the e-commerce merchant market, from major marketplaces and large online retailers to small specialist shops. For our business partners, idealo is one of the most important sources of traffic, customer contacts and online sales. For our end customers, these merchants provide the up-to-date prices, availability and product information that make our comparison service valuable. We are looking for an Account Manager B2B Italy to help strengthen our merchant partnerships and make our B2B product even more relevant for the Italian market.

The Mission

This role is key to ensuring business continuity and further developing idealo's B2B relationships in the Italian market. The Account Manager will help protect and grow existing merchant relationships, improve inventory and assortment quality, support strategic B2B initiatives and identify additional commercial potential through Retail Media solutions for existing shop partners.

About your new role

• Build and develop long-term relationships with merchants, helping them grow their performance and revenue on idealo.
• Manage your portfolio's inventory and assortment, regularly monitoring merchant performance.
• Identify growth opportunities and turn performance insights into clear recommendations and action plans.
• Lead strategic merchant projects, aligning partner needs with idealo priorities and internal stakeholders.
• Consult merchants on relevant Retail Media solutions to increase visibility and achieve their commercial goals.
• Monitor market, competitor and category trends to strengthen your expertise across your portfolio.
• Collaborate with Sales, Partner Management, Retail Media, Product and Analytics to improve partner performance and customer value.

Skills & Requirements

• Professional experience in Account Management, Sales, Partner Management or a similar commercial role, ideally in e-commerce, marketplaces, retail media or digital advertising.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted partner relationships.
• A commercial mindset and a proven ability to identify growth and upselling opportunities, set ambitious goals and prioritize meaningful impact for customers and the business..
• Confidence working with performance data, business KPIs and analytical insights.
• A collaborative and proactive hands-on approach, with the ability to manage projects independently. You take ownership, solve challenges pragmatically and drive initiatives forward, even in ambiguous situations.
• Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
• Fluency in Italian and English; German is a plus.
