Localization Specialist with Italian

At AMO Pictures, we're seeking a Localization Specialist with a native level of Italian to join our dubbing department, who will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality translations, recordings, and subtitles for our Italian-language video content. And will be an advisor for our Italian location, whose expertise will be invaluable in guiding our localization efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct rigorous quality control of translations, verifying grammar, spelling, and accuracy
• Provide constructive feedback on recorded materials to maintain exceptional audio quality
• Translate and localize titles, descriptions, and other textual content
• Create accurate and engaging subtitles for our Italian-language content
• Be an advisor (consultant) in the development of the Italian location and in collaboration with new partners to expand our Italian localization reach.

Qualifications:

• Native-level proficiency in the Italian language
• Minimum B2+ level of English
• Proven experience in localization, including subtitling, dubbing or video games
• Proficiency in Excel and Notion will be a plus
• Strong background in translation, localization, and quality control processes
• Familiarity with the Italian film and entertainment industry
• Experience in writing creative texts and working in media or journalism will be a plus

Your manager will be Olena, the PM in the Dubbing Department. Having joined AMO Pictures almost a year ago, Olena quickly took on responsibility for multiple locations and achieved significant success, including opening the Italian market and establishing a partnership with the top dubbing school, ODS. Her post-production experience, ability to build strong partnerships, and understanding of cultural nuances make her a valuable team member. Olena is seeking a colleague with a strong vision for their native culture, technical skills in creating high-quality dubbing, and eagerness to contribute.
